I am a retired (from the business world), nature-loving woman living in a rural community in East Texas. After 30 years of working in the fast-paced aerospace industry, I decided to slow it down a little (maybe a lot) and start observing and taking part in life, rather than just watching most of it pass by. It’s so easy to get caught up in the daily minutiae of life and completely miss significant parts of the whole picture. I was able to retire early and now with another full life ahead, I want to stop and really look at what is going on in the world, and inside me.
This site is where I will attempt to take the scattered thoughts out of my head and organize them into some semblance of rational thought. And hopefully, those thoughts will take the form and shape of something artistic. My life revolves around being in and observing nature and I want to explore that through the avenues of poetry, prose, music and my own musings.
With retirement comes a complete shift in schedules. My week days are now mostly free, but my weekends are full of family activities. Family life is larger and takes on a new meaning with the focus expanded to include my parents, siblings, children and grandchildren, rather than just the inhabitants of my house. Weekdays are now the times to explore, contemplate, observe and enjoy life.
